This painting alludes to traditional mode of transit specifically a rural set up. The environment depicts a rural area due to the presence of fair-weather roads or rather seasonal roads, trees and traditional houses. The painting also evokes the idea of a passage of time due to the presence of a bullock cart being pulled by oxen. This was a common mode of transportation which is still used in some parts of Burma in varied terrains. We get to experience past life while looking at this composition and we can only think of how far humans have evolved comparing it with modern infrastructure and livelihood. The painting also serves aesthetic needs and as example of continuity in community underdevelopment.
