This painting utilizes blue color which is cool mostly associated with sources of water. The absence of waves shows painting looks still and calm which is a favorable time for carrying out fishing activities. Fishing is an economic activity and a source of food in Burma. The painting explores various themes such as economic livelihood, hard work and social responsibility. In addition, the artwork serves as an appreciation of fishing in the society and how it has impacted the society as an economic activity.
